A healthy, well balanced diet ensures the body gets the nutrients it needs and helps maintain the delicate balance that the body relies on.
Most of us would admit that every now and again we stray, but this isn't a bad thing. A good diet doesn't mean you have to go without anything; however, you need to exercise moderation. If you like cakes, treat yourself to a cake occasionally, as long as it is occasionally. It is a matter of fact that the more you deny yourself something, the more you end up craving it.
A balanced diet allows you an occasional treat, as your body can better cope with the delicious fat-laden cake you've just very guiltily devoured!
